French Class for Adults

Cousteau, The French International School of Vancouver is glad to announce the French Class for Adults 2015-2016 starting on September 22nd, 2015.

Two levels are proposed:
  • A1 level or Breakthrough level for real beginners in French (without any notions or with very basic notions)
  • A2 level or Waystage level for A1-equivalent students (80-100h of French classes)

For each level, the package consists in:
  • a weekly class of 2h
  • A1: on Tuesdays, 6-8pm, Sept.22-Dec.15 incl.
  • A2: on Thursdays, 6-8pm, Sept.24-Dec.17 incl.
  • for a total of 12 classes (24h)
  • 10 participants maximum per level

Your constancy in attending the class is important since we will follow a progression from one lesson to the next one.
The class for each level requires a minimum of 4 participants to take place.

The rate:
  • $408 for parents of Cousteau school
  • $504 for the others

We will work with AMICAL study book.
It is a soft teaching/learning approach focusing on the crux of the matter and with an intentional slow progression.
The goal is to developp a minimum know-how in usual situations of communication with Francophone speakers.
The slowness of the approach furthers the language appropriation in safety and increases selfconfidence in communication abilities.
You will have to purchase the study book to the school (around $42 – price to be confirmed).

For each level, we will cover the 6 first lessons in the study book. This will give you the opportunity to learn the following:
