Comme décidé par le Conseil d'Administration il y a plusieurs mois maintenant, le projet d'installer un système de contrôle d'accès sur la porte d'entrée principale de l'école a été initié et est désormais sur la point d'aboutir.
Demain mercredi 16 septembre commenceront les travaux d'installation sur la porte et dureront jusqu'au jeudi 17 inclus. Les travaux consistent à installer un système de verrouillage électronique de la porte, un lecteur de badges externe ainsi qu'un interphone vidéo. Ce système permettra de conserver la porte d'entrée fermée durant les heures de classes : seul les membres du personnel disposeront de badges d'accès. L'interphone vidéo relié aux postes de la réception et de l'administration permettra aux visiteurs de demander l'ouverture.
Durant les deux jours de travaux, l'accés par la porte principale sera donc restreint et des panneaux vous indiqueront l'accés alternatif au bâtiment. Les élèves utiliseront les sorties de secours pour aller et revenir de récréations.
Mise à jour au mercredi 16 septembre :
Les travaux ont bien commencé ce jour mais ont dû être interrompus pour ne se poursuivre qu`à partir du vendredi 18 septembre, et très probablement jusqu'au lundi 21 septembre.
Le fonctionnement normal de la porte d'entrée reprendra demain, jeudi 17 septembre, mais la procédure exceptionnelle d'accès au bâtiment pendant les travaux décrite ci-dessus sera de nouveau en vigueur dès vendredi.

Les travaux vont se poursuivre le lundi 21 septembre et devraient se terminer ce même jour. La procédure exceptionnelle d'accès au bâtiment pendant les travaux décrite ci-dessus sera de nouveau en vigueur lundi.
Nous planifions la mise en service du nouveau système de contrôle d'accès avant le vendredi 25 septembre.

Dear parents,
As decided by the Board of Directors few months ago, the project to install an Access Control System on the main entrance door was initiated and is about to be finalized.
Tomorrow Wednesday, September 16th the installation work will begin and will last until Thursday, September 17th included. It consists of installing an electronic locking device on the door, a external fob reader and a video intercom. This system will allow to lock the main entrance door during the school hours : only staff members will have their own fob to enter through this door. The video intercom will be connected to the reception and the administration and will allow the visitors to ask for access.
During these two days of work, we will restrict the access through the main entrance door and signs will help you find the alternative way to enter the facility. The students will use the emergency exits to go and return from recess.
Update on Wednesday, September 16th:
The work has started today but it had to be stopped. It will restart on Friday, September 18th, and will last most likely until Monday, September 21st.
The main entrance door will operate normally tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 17th) but the exceptional above procedure to access the school during the work will be in effect again from Friday.

The work will continue on Monday, September 21st and should be finished on the same day. The exceptional above procedure to access the school during the work will be in effect again on this day.
We expect to have this new Access Control System in operation by Friday, September 25th.
